We only collect information we need. Depending on how you use the Site, this may include:Information you give us directly
Newsletter signup: your email address.
Contact form: your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
Event submissions ("List your event" / "For organisers"): your name, email, club or organisation name, and the event details you submit.
Workshop directory enquiries (when available): your name, business name, email, and business details.

Usage and device data via cookies and analytics (e.g. pages visited, approximate region, browser and device type, referring site).We don't collect payment card details on the Site.We don't knowingly collect sensitive information, and we ask that you don't submit any through our forms.
We use your personal information to:
send you the newsletter and event updates you've signed up for;
respond to your enquiries and messages;
review, publish and manage event listings you submit;operate, maintain and improve the Site and understand how it's used;
contact you about your submission or listing; and meet our legal obligations.
We'll only use your information for the purpose it was collected, or a directly related purpose you'd reasonably expect.
If you sign up for our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us. We won't add you to marketing emails without your consent.
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function and to understand usage. We use [Google Analytics / Google Search Console] to collect aggregated, largely de-identified usage statistics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as well.
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run the Site, and only as needed.
Several of the providers above store data on servers outside New Zealand (for example in the United States, EU or Australia), so your information may be held or processed overseas. Where we disclose information to overseas providers, we take reasonable steps to ensure it's protected by comparable safeguards, consistent with IPP 12.
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run the Site, and only as needed.
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and protect it from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, in line with IPP 5. No online service can be completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law. For example, newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe; enquiry data is kept while we deal with your query and for a reasonable period afterward.
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:
ask whether we hold personal information about you;request access to that information; andask us to correct it if it's wrong.

The Site links to third-party websites (event organisers, venues, ticketing pages, and affiliate partners). We're not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Some outbound links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This doesn't affect what we choose to lis
The Site is intended for a general audience and isn't directed at young children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page with the "last updated" date. Significant changes will be made clear.
