Welcome to NZShift. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of nzshift.co.nz (the "Site"), operated by NZSHIFT ("NZShift", "we", "us", "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
NZShift is an independent New Zealand motorsport directory and hub. We aggregate, organize, and publish information regarding motorsport events, venues, drivers, guides, and related industry resources for general informational and discovery purposes.
Event details published on the Site—including dates, start times, venues, schedules, entry fees, and technical requirements—are aggregated from public event releases, club notices, official regulatory PDFs, venue schedules, and direct submission forms.
Mere Conveyor of Information: NZShift acts as an independent aggregator and conveyor of public information. We do not inspect, independently verify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or real-time status of any third-party listing.
Verification Required: Motorsport events are subject to sudden rescheduling, weather disruptions, permit modifications, and cancellations. You must directly confirm all event details with the official organizing club or track venue prior to traveling, booking accommodation, or incurring entry costs.
No Liability for Errors: To the fullest extent permitted by law, NZShift accepts no liability for any financial loss, travel costs, or inconvenience resulting from inaccurate, delayed, or out-of-date event listings.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, NZShift is an independent directory. Listing an event, venue, or organization does not imply any sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or formal affiliation with NZShift. All trademarks, logos, event names, and brand identifiers (including those belonging to MotorSport New Zealand, Motorsport Australia, local sporting car clubs, or venue operators) remain the property of their respective owners.
If you submit an event, venue listing, or directory entry (via "List Your Event", "For Organisers", or contact forms):
You confirm that you have the full authority to submit the information and that all details provided are accurate;
You grant NZShift a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reformat, adapt, translate, and promote that content across the Site and our affiliated digital channels;
You acknowledge that NZShift reserves the right to edit, reformat, decline, or remove any submission at our sole discretion without prior notice; and
You warrant that your submission does not contain unlawful, misleading, defamatory, or copyright-infringing material.
Event listings are currently provided as a free service. NZShift reserves the right to introduce premium or featured promotional tiers in the future under separate commercial terms.
The Site and its original content—including text, layout design, site architecture, custom graphics, search tools, and code—are owned by or licensed to NZShift and are protected by New Zealand and international intellectual property laws.You may view, download, and print content for personal, non-commercial use only. You are strictly prohibited from copying, republishing, distributing, framing, or commercially exploiting any portion of the Site's architecture or design without our prior written consent.
You agree to use the Site solely for lawful discovery purposes.
You expressly agree that you will not:
Use automated tools, scrapers, software, spiders, or manual processes to harvest, index, or extract data, listings, or code from the Site for commercial directory replication;
Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the operation, security, or servers of the Site;
Submit false, misleading, or spam content through our event submission or contact forms; or
Use the Site to distribute malicious software or unauthorized marketing communications.
Any interactive features, reaction tests, or calculators provided on the Site are for general entertainment and educational purposes only. They are provided "as is" without guarantees of availability, precision, or performance metrics.
The Site contains outbound links to external websites, including event organizers, ticketing vendors, venue maps, and commercial partners. NZShift does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of third-party platforms.Certain outbound links on the Site may be affiliate links. If you make a purchase or booking through these links, NZShift may receive a small affiliate commission at no additional cost to you.
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 & Fair Trading Act 1986: Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under New Zealand law. However, if you are acquiring our services or accessing the Site for business, commercial, or trade purposes, you agree that the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Sections 9, 12A, and 13 of the Fair Trading Act 1986 do not apply, to the extent permitted by law.
Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, NZShift shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, or data arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site. To the extent that liability cannot be lawfully excluded, our total cumulative liability to you shall not exceed NZD $100.00 or the resupply of the service.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NZShift, its operator, and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, expenses, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party right.
We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand to resolve any dispute arising under or in relation to these Terms.
