Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question about racing or spectating here? Get in touch with NZShift at hello@nzshift.co.nz

  • How long is the Euromarque Motorsport Park (Ruapuna) circuit?

The Full Circuit is 3.33km with 11 turns and an FIA Grade 3 licence, run anticlockwise. Six shorter configurations are used for club racing, drifting and drag events.

  • Who owns Ruapuna / Euromarque Motorsport Park?

It's owned and operated by the Canterbury Car Club on land leased from Christchurch City Council — one of the few remaining club-owned circuits in New Zealand. Euromarque became title sponsor in 2023, after previously being known as Mike Pero Motorsport Park and Powerbuilt Raceway.

  • Can spectators get close to the track at Ruapuna?

Yes — at many club events spectators can drive into the outer track area and watch from along the fence line, in addition to the two permanent grandstands.

  • Is Ruapuna the same as Canterbury Car Club?

Yes — Canterbury Car Club is the organisation that owns and runs the circuit at Ruapuna/Templeton, now known as Euromarque Motorsport Park. Ruapuna Speedway next door is a separate dirt oval on the same reserve.
