What time do gates open at Ruapuna Speedway?
The main ticketing office opens at 4:00pm; the pit gate opens earlier at 12:30pm for anyone wanting extra time in the stadium.
Are there noise restrictions at Ruapuna Speedway?
Yes — vehicle noise is limited to 95 dB LAFmax under a published Noise Management Plan, and under Christchurch City Council's District Plan the speedway is limited to 15 race meetings and 5 practice days a year, running 1800h-2200h or 1200h-1800h.
Can I bring my own food to Ruapuna Speedway?
Yes — food vendors operate on site and outside food (commercial or home-made) is welcome. It's strictly no glass and no alcohol, though licensed bar areas are available outside the main alcohol-free stadium.
