Downtime Entertainment presents ClubFest! New Zealand’s annual Car Club MEGA MEET! 23–25 October 2026 (Labour Weekend), a true celebration of the car club culture in New Zealand. A SOLD OUT event since 2020, ClubFest is a series of track sessions and activities aimed at giving car clubs the opportunity to drive around Hampton Downs in a safe and controlled environment. Clubs of all makes and models are welcome. Your track entry gives you access to all sessions over the weekend.
While ClubFest is about having fun and celebrating the car club scene in New Zealand, there is also a competitive element with car clubs and individuals competing for titles, prizes and ultimate bragging rights. To enter your car, you MUST be part of a Car Club.
Over $10,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs across the weekend, including the Overall Top Club, King & Queen of Clubs, King & Queen of Hearts, and the Lucky Dip cash draws throughout the weekend.
WHAT’S HAPPENING
Track Cruising — The most popular sessions at ClubFest. Open to all entrants across the weekend.
Wet Skid Pan — Two minute skid then re-join the queue. 1 passenger allowed. Helmets, enclosed shoes, long sleeves/pants required (helmets hireable from Hampton Downs subject to availability).
Roll Racing — Race another vehicle from a rolling start at around 40kph. Vehicle on the right sets the pace. 1 passenger allowed in practice sessions. High power shoot out follows main eliminations.
Burnouts — Send it on the Club Circuit Burnout Pad. Multiple sessions throughout the weekend.
Drifting — Open to all entered vehicles. Purpose built drift cars only for tandem battles. New to drifting? Practice on the wet skid pan first.
Grip Sessions — Split into caged/non-caged sessions. 2 per day (including Friday for FRI-SUN entrants).
Extreme Sessions — Power slides out of corners and rolling power skids on specific track sections. Safety gear required, 1 front seat passenger allowed.
Ladies Only Sessions — Return for 2026, a popular addition since 2019.
Hitch-A-Ride — Purchase a passenger wristband ($10 for the weekend) and hitch a ride in Track Cruising sessions. Look for the Hitchhiker Zone on the day. Minimum passenger height 148cm.
Friday Access (FRI-SUN entry only, limited to 150)
Gates open 12pm–5pm (Gate 2). Includes vehicle safety check, drivers briefing, Wet Skid Pan, Roll Racing practice, Track Cruising and Grip Sessions. Spectators on Friday must be with a registered track entrant — $20 gate entry or $70 3-day pass (EFTPOS only).
Saturday & Sunday
Gates open 9am–6pm (Gate 3). Spectator entry $35/day or $60 weekend pass. Kids 10 and under free. Free spectator parking via Gate 3. No pre-sale spectator tickets — gate only. No alcohol. No pets. Event runs rain or shine.
Driver Entries
Two entry types available: SAT–SUN entry (standard weekend) or FRI–SUN entry (full experience, limited). $50 late fee applies after 25 September 2026. No entries on the day. You MUST be part of a Car Club to enter. Minimum restricted licence required. No WOF/rego required but vehicle must pass safety check. EVs not permitted in Grip Sessions, Roll Racing or Drifting — Track Cruising only.
