The Repco Supercars Championship returned to Taupo International Motorsport Park for the third time, headlining the first-ever ITM NZ Double Header alongside the following weekend's Christchurch Super 440 at Ruapuna. The weekend featured three races across 440km of racing — dual 120km sprints and a 200km race — with the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy on the line for the driver with the most points across both NZ rounds. Support categories included Central Muscle Cars, Toyota 86 NZ, and TA2 NZ. Note: the schedule was revised due to Cyclone Vaianu, with Sunday running cancelled and one race moved to the Christchurch event. Broadcast live on Sky Sport NZ.
